A femme trotted around her territory. Her head was held high, and her tail swayed behind her. She was a cream hued femme, aside from her paws, which were russet socked, and the tips of her ears, which were of the same shade. Her slender body snaked between the trees, as they grew rather close here. But never was she unable to fit between. Her spindly feet moved elegantly, never catching, or losing their rhythm. Her chocolate hued eyes inspected her territory. She had owned this place for a meager three weeks, if that.
Her land was rather large; she had selected a valley that had gone unmarked and unexplored. The trees were of the thick pine, and the thin aspen. Her favorites. Pine was good shelter when the snow came, the tree seemed to act as a blanket to keep the warmth inside, and hold most snow from falling under it. Aspen weren’t so useful, but made a wonderful sound to wake up to on a windy day. A stream also flowed through her land. In some parts, it ran quite narrow and shallow. But mostly, it was several feet wide, and grew somewhat steep; enough to put an average wolf in the water until the upper half of his body. Grasses and brush grew around the trees, for the most part.
She came upon the stream. What would she call it? Oh well, she’d decide later. It had a wondrous gleam in the moonlight, she noticed. She stepped into the stream, up to her ankles, which was all she wished to be at the moment. She stood for a few moments, admiring her territory. The stream’s bed was made of rocks. Not the sharp kind that you would have to tell everyone to be careful of, but rounded, eroded rocks from the water running over them for so long. Most of them were of gray hues. They seemed to be absorbing the moonlight, and reflecting it back to the water, thus the water had a bright sapphire gleam.
The fae began walking peacefully, enjoying the refreshing cold of the water. She was walking downstream, to the south. After roughly an hour, the sun came, and she could feel the warmth. Instead of being reminded of her past, she looked at the stream. It was glowing a warm, majestic orange. Mystic River. That’s what this would be.
Not ten minutes later, she was upon her favorite spot. There were tall grasses growing, and Mystic River ran in a narrow path. She came from the river into the grass; this clearing was vacant of trees. Also in this clearing, the reason she liked it so much, was a large boulder. She bounded onto her boulder, which had an abnormally flat top. She went to the center of the large rock, and reclined. This was her land.
This was Kiza, alphess of Hope’s Sanctuary.

5 year old Hermes Abacus padded slowly through the land, muzzle rose to the heavens. His shining cocoa - resembling eyes reflected off the small puddles that splashed quietly under his mitts. Tiny specks of black in his eyes gave proof that he was not blind. He had a slender, but muscular figure. His strong muscles rippled under his gentle gray pelt, for he was a racer that ran from pack to pack. In search for something that made him whole, he went through many obstacles. Including loss. Still, his eyes were haunted from the last look he took at his brother, Wild Wind. If you searched them, you could see the loss. His parents were killed by a terrible wildfire. He shook his head at the thought. The sight of fire still made him shiver. His light gray mitts ached from long travel. He was a marvelous fighter, and was a loyal member, friend, and mate. But, you might not want to get on his bad side. A small breeze caught his attention. He could hear the faint sound of leaves rustling in the distance. He was very nice, and friendly. But he has a bad side, trust me.. He trotted to the other wolves quietly with curiosity and caution. He howled as a greeting and to announce he was there, merely. One of his main goals was to become distinguished; he didn’t want to be a ‘newbie’ everywhere he went. He constantly was attacked by others, or alphas who had a bad feeling around him because of his color. [/center]

Kiza turned her head at the sound of a howl. Another wolf on her territory? That's new. The howl had come from behind her. She stood, stretched, and then took a step off a boulder, resulting in a jump down. This wolf was not asking to enter, but announcing his presence. Just as she would do.
She trodded to the Mystic River, and stepped into its shallow waters, once more up to her ankles. She walked in the direction the other howl had come. It had been a distance away, but not too far. She should meet this wolf. Company would do her well.
A gust of wind came, rustling the aspen leaves. She loved that sound. She looked through the branches to the sky. It was shades of pink and orange. A beautiful dawn, similar to sunset, yet with a fresh feeling as opposed to the peacefully tired one at 'set. Upon further study, she discovered some clouds in the sky above. Not much right now, but they had a rather grayish tone. Perhaps rain? That wouldn't be too bad. On that thought, she went from the Mystic River into a forest area.
She had gone some distance by now. Her chocolate orbs fell upon another wolf. Slender, as she was, but had more muscle than her. Grayish tones. Orbs close to the same color as hers, but somehow different in a way other than shade. She reclined, her tassel curling around her, tip slightly upwards. She nodded in greeting, but demanded nothing in the way of name, why he might be here, or other things a alpha might ask.
But Kiza wasn't any old alphess. Nothing "any old" about her.

The male bowed his head. "Good evening madame." He said lowering his ears and tail. Hermes smiled. He always made a good first impression.

| 'Tis fine, my posts have abnormally long compared to usual, probably because since she's moving so much, I could describe the territory xD That'll probably stop now, since she isn't moving anymore xD And technically, it's morning.. |
A polite wolf. For some reason, Kiza always preferred wolves to be polite.
She bowed her head in return. "As to you," she replied simply. "I am Kiza. This, is my land." She was in no way asking him to get off her land. She was in no position to be rejecting wolves for no reason. She was also no fool, and had a feeling he was stronger.

"My name is Hermes Abacus." He said nodding. Hermes sat and looked at her, observing. "You look like a strong alpha." He said to her nodding again. "You said these lands were yours? How long have you had them?" He asked her, trying to change the subject.

"Pleased to meet you," she replied. "You look stronger, to me," she said with a warm grin. She didn't find herself very strong, and still thought he was probably stronger. "Only a few weeks," Kiza admitted. "I doubt I've even found everything here." She craned her neck to look at the are around her. She had been here before, as she had been to most places along the Mystic River. Recently named that, but that's what it was. She turned her attention again only slightly to the sky. The clouds had only a hint of pink along them, mainly gray still. She turned her attention back to Hermes, hoping she didn't seem impolite.

Hermes smiled. "You are lucky to have found these beautiful lands." He said tilting his head. "Though they aren't the only thing beautiful here." He said smiling and blushing. He looked up at the sky and saw what Kiza saw, except from his prospective. He saw swirls of pink and blue, both beautiful colors, they spun together until they diminished into thin air. "I love looking at the world. It is just so beautiful" He commented shaking his head. "Except at midnight, it just scares me." He said shivering.

Kiza smiled, and felt rather bashful. She wasn't used to being complimented in such a way.
"Well, then at midnight you should stay along this river," she advised him. "The Mystic River glows different colors at different times of te day." She looked into the river now. It was still glowing a warm orange. Why this river glowed such wondrous colors as the day time changed, she wasn't sure. Such an ambiguity. She again looked back to Hermes.
| I like that word.. ambiguity.. Had to look it up in a thesarus xDD |

Hermes tilted his head and looked into the orange water. "It is very enthralling." He agreed nodding. "Enthralling, indeed." He said. He stood up and walked a bit closer to it. "What would happen if someone were to touch it?" He asked looking at Kiza over his shoulder. "Is there a curse to the river. What happens when it is black? Does it go rapid? I have dozens of good questions about this enchancing river." He said. Hermes made his eyes strain to go deeper into the water. "Are there any living creatures underneath?" He asked.

Kiza's eyes followed Hermes with interest. A lot of questions of this river. "I believe it's like any other river. I'm uncertain of why the colors change." She didn't think there was a curse on it or anything, but she had no evidence to deny it. "I've travelled through the stream quite a bit, and nothing has happened to me." She padded back to the river, placing her forepaws in the water.

Hermes raised his eyebrows, but nonetheless he put his own forepaws in next to hers. "How about we explore a little bit more?" He smiled and looked up and and away, "There is still much to see." He said removing his now damp paws. "I do tend to talk a whole lot, so I hope you don't get annoyed." He said. "Am I your only member?" He asked, looking around the area.

"Sure," she responded. Exploring would probably do her good, being the alphess. She had been exploring, but doubted that she had seen the entire valley. "I won't mind at all." Learning about her new friend would also do her much good. "Yes, you are," she replied lastly.

||That is just fine.|| Hermes simply grinned and walked off in the direction where the sun was still slowly rising. "Listen, don't you hear that?" He asked spinning around. "I think that is a waterfall!" He exclaimed. He jumped up and smile.d

(( read my history if you need help catching on to what im saying lol )) The sunlight shone fully into the clearing of this beautiful land, the sun fell upon the whole clearing, but this wolf caught all my attention. She pulled herself up, and into a playful bow, and yawned a bit, the sunlight shot rays into her blue eyes, awaking her from the little nap she had been taking. She was happy and very content, for she had finally found somewhere she truly belonged, or so she hoped. She lifted herself up from the quick yawn, and trotted along this land, her thick white fur made her look elegant, but it was still kind of warm to be with such thick fur.
